For my safety and security I require references from two established providers or a discreet identity and employment verification. After we have met I will ask you to give me a unique nickname to remember you by, then I will destroy your contact information and remember you by that name. If you forget your nickname and cannot jog my memory you will need to verify as if you are a new friend! Discretion and security are extremely important to me, for your benefit as well as mine. I do not keep a client address book, electronically or on paper. Emails are deleted once we have met. I clean my hard drive regularly and have firewall protection. I would never approach you in public to say "Hi" if our paths cross on the street. Please be considerate and do what you can to ensure that my information stays secure and discreet as well. References are reputable and verifiable practitioners whom you have previously met. This is not your mother, your best friend or your supervisor at work. When providing references, please notify them in advance. This will remind them of your past meeting, and assure them that my inquiry is authorized. It will make things easy and save a great deal of time! I ask for none of the personal information below, though I am appreciative of whatever you choose to share. Please provide me with your references' web URL, and any information that is needed to help them recall having met. Ex. "She knows me as Mike from Chicago, I gave her a Norah Jones CD when I saw her at her studio in San Francisco last May."
